An eCoronado.com member sent us some video footage of a theft that took place at their Coronado home last Sunday at approximately 7:10am (camera clock was not adjusted for DST). They have asked not to list their names or street address. In both videos from two different angles, a woman is seen walking by, opening a gate and then walking into their front patio to take the newspaper.
There are many homes in Coronado that have video surveillance and this resident happened to catch the theft on camera. They have not identified the person but did share their disappointment in not being able to enjoy their Sunday paper that morning!
Let's hope this thief sees the online evidence and either offers an apology or is 'scared straight' into purchasing their own paper.
The gate opens at the 55 second mark. Yes, we added the sneaky background music.

Love the background music! Nice touch...
Now Coronado has the Sandman, Bubbleman, Sandcastleman and Newspaperwoman. Who will be next?
Comment by Rob Moore on December 5, 2012 at 10:24pm It's those little things that are so aggravating...so many people are inconvenienced because that woman thought she had a right to someone else's paper. Disappointing...
Boy, I truely thought it was going to be a joke and a cat or dog would come in. Ugh. I hope someone identifies her fast.
Unbelievable that she would unlock the gate, walk onto some else's property and steal their paper. Disappointing at best...despicable action.

Comment by Sheila K. Graves on December 10, 2012 at 10:51am How small can you get -- what a cheap _ _ _ to lift someone's newspaper. And they live in Coronado?
Comment by Pamela McCollum on December 10, 2012 at 11:02am That is pretty darned low. Hope she gets caught.....soon!
Comment by Jim Rohn on December 10, 2012 at 11:06am disgusting ... reminds me of those that feel everyone else owes them ...
