This summer, whether you are a Coronado local or just visiting, make sure to stop by these fantastic restaurants!

Casual Breakfast: Clayton’s

For a casual, diner-style breakfast, look no further than Clayton’s Coffee Shop.  This classic eatery is located on the corner of 10th Street and Orange Avenue and also features a carry out window that has donuts and other sweet treats in the morning.  If you would rather experience a sit-down meal, Clayton’s also has fifties style booths and a large counter.

Upscale Breakfast: Sheerwater Brunch at the Hotel Del Coronado

For a more upscale meal, try a buffet style brunch at the Hotel Del’s very own Sheerwater restaurant.  The breakfast buffet features everything from bagels to bacon and also includes an omelet making station.  This venue does include the more expensive hotel price, but is a good choice if you’re hungry for a big meal!

Casual Lunch: Subway

If you’re in the mood for a quick, easy, and cheap summer lunch, Subway fits your bill!  Foot-long sandwiches only cost five dollars, and the chain restaurant also has fresh cookies and cool drinks.  The best part is it’s only a block away from the beach on Churchill Place!

Upscale Lunch: Panera

For more variety and a slightly bigger price tag, Panera Bread located on Orange Avenue between 9th Street and 10th Street is a good choice.  This restaurant features quick service and dine-in or takeout options for your ever-changing summer plans.  Their menu also has delicious fruit smoothies that are perfect for the coming season!

Casual Dinner: Village Pizzeria

Village Pizzeria (located on the intersection of Churchill Place and Orange and at the Ferry Landing) has the perfect combination of pizza, salad, and Italian-inspired desserts for the perfect casual dinner out with family or friends.  The restaurant also delivers pizza and much more if you’re in the mood for a delectable night in.

Upscale Dinner: Il Fornio

Located at the Ferry Landing, Il Fornio is an Italian restaurant with views of the stunning San Diego skyline and bay.  Make sure you dress appropriately for this upscale experience and remember to bring a jacket if you decide to face some of the chilly winds blowing throughout the bay.  Make sure to leave some room in your stomach, though, because Il Fornio features an outstanding dessert selection!

Casual Dessert: Yogurt Escape

Yogurt Escape (located on Orange between 9th Street and 10th Street) features tasty self-serve frozen yogurt with countless available toppings.  Make sure to check up on the offered flavors, because they are switched around every week.  The best part is it’s priced by weight so you can get as much or as little as you want!

Upscale Dessert: Tartine

For a chic dessert experience make sure to stop by Tartine (located on 1st Street between Orange and C Avenue).  This cozy and tasteful bakery features cakes, pastries, and coffee drinks.  You really can’t go wrong with anything you choose, but the chocolate mousse cake is worth every last bite!
