8:54 am Report of a male possibly carrying rifle in 500 blk of E Ave; all schools contacted; lockdown in effect. officers searching.

8:58 am PD reports officers located person; a U.S. Marshall. Lockdown is lifted.

It was definitely a scary experience for everyone in the CUSD school district, but our school did a great job of responding to the alarm. In light of the recent school shooting tragedies around the country, the district has been implementing new security measures to help keep students safe.
