The dad in our family has been wrapped up with work most of the summer. It is not uncommon for him to get home well after dinner is over and bedtime is upon us. Last night, however, he got home in time to have dinner with the family AND decided he wanted to enjoy the beautfiul weather. So, after dinner, we strolled down Alameda to the beach, picked a spot along the rocks and enjoyed the sunset. The weather was so warm, no sweatshirt required.
It was a breathtakingly beautiful sunset. It was enhanced by the F-18s that were "in the pattern" around North Island Naval Air Station. We all enjoyed watching and hearing the jets fly by us. I think we have another week of increased "freedom noise" so maybe you can have a similar experience. In the meantime, turn up the volume and enjoy.

Yes, it is the sound of freedom! We listened to the jets coming in when we were tan-seeking teen-agers way back in the early 50's. Thank you for keeping us safe all these years!
