On Wednesday, before heading back to Dallas after wrapping up the 2012 edition of training camp, the Cowboys took a trip around three hours south from their camp home in Oxnard, Ca., to Coronado, Ca.--the site of a Navy SEALs base. While there, the team got a chance to visit with the U.S. Navy’s principle special operations force, an experience that won’t be soon forgotten by players or coaches.
“It was a fantastic visit,” head coach Jason Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “As impressed as I was going into it, I was more impressed coming out of it. I’m very quick to point out to our football team that what they do is very different from what we do. They’re in life and death situations and we’re trying to win football games.”
