CSF Donors Benefit with Locals Card Deals - Do You Have Your Card?

Members of the Coronado High School National Honor Society received “Locals Cards” for their recent community service work making phone calls to thank Coronado Schools Foundation donors.

CSF Donors Benefit with Locals Card Deals

Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) has seen an increase in donations from across the southwest as those who live in Coronado all or part of the year rally to support local public schools and in return for their generosity, receive a Locals Card with “deals” from local businesses who are partners in education.  “It’s a win-win for our community to have this partnership with local businesses and with Steve Johnson at eCoronado.com who hosts a webpage listing the discounts and special offers for those with a Locals Card,” said Patty Cowan, CSF Executive Director.

Launched with the combined Coronado Unified School District Directory for all school sites in the fall, business owners who provide financial support now have a year-round venue to provide discounts and encourage CSF supporters to use their services.  With the upcoming Connect-A-Thon (formerly Telethon) on Thursday, March 15th, all donors to the Foundation will also receive a complimentary Locals Card as a thank you for their generosity.

Some of the current deals include 15% off food at all Nadolife restaurants like Leroy’s Kitchen and Lounge, Village Pizzeria and Mootime, as well as 15% off smoothies at Fuel Juice Bar, 10% off at Spiro’s Gyros (food), $15 for twilight golf at Coronado Municipal Golf Course, and up to $2,000 off installation at WholeSolar.  Two new businesses have recently joined, Siti Med Spa offering $125 per area of Botox and Jezzebell Skin Solutions for $15 off first visit (new clients only).   The Coronado Brewing Company is also offering its “mug club” deal.  Visit www.ecoronado.com/csf to see all the deals with many updated monthly and new ones added weekly.

All proceeds benefit Coronado public schools through CSF.   “These locally controlled funds make a huge difference to our public schools with the ongoing state budget crisis.  This year CSF returned over $620,000 to our five schools with Coronado High School receiving a record $172,000.  Thanks to the generosity of donors through CSF, our district is one of the only school districts in the state who have actually expanded programs,” said Karl Mueller, CHS Principal and CUSD Liaison to the CSF Board of Directors.

To receive your locals card, make a donation at www.csfkids.org or call 619-437-8059 and visit www.ecoronado.com/csfto see the latest deals.
