Coronado Adult Education’s Fall 2012 class schedule begins August 23rd. Classes are open to Coronado residents and residents of surrounding communities. We have a variety of exciting classes along with some new instructors this semester, and are pleased to offer the following new classes: Access I, & Beginning Video Editing taught by Will Cattell, Contractors License Law Test Preparation with Allen Levin, Feng Shui & the Power of Plants in Your Garden taught by Carey Worthy, Beginning & Intermediate Guitar with Chris Bucklen, Parliamo Italiano! (Basic Conversational Italian), & A Trip to Rome with Miyuki Rogers, Intro to Lawn Bowling taught by Robert Grobe – this class is held at Coronado Lawn Bowling Club, Should You Start a Small Business, & Speaking the Language of Employers for Career Advancement taught by Natache Muschette, and Zumba Fitness with Coleen Holgate.
Jack Martin will be teaching Ballroom Dancing – Tango & Salsa, and Foxtrot & Rumba, and Waltz & Cha Cha, Night Club Dancing – East Coast Swing & Hustle, and West Coast Swing & Slow 2 Step. Singles and couples are welcomed and no experience is necessary.
In addition we offer Introduction to Aviation taught by James Carney, Drawing & Painting Workshop/Open Studio with Karrie Jackson, Buying & Selling on eBay, Web Design, Word 2007, Computer/Internet Basics and Advanced, Computer Skills for Office Assistants – Essential and Advanced taught by Mark Rodgers, Everyone Can Cook… Italian! and Everyone Can Make… Sushi! taught by Miyuki Rogers, Woodworking with Scott Lienhard, M.E.L.T. Method, & Nia Dance Fitness with Audrey Dill, Open Water SCUBA with Jeff Bunker, Teen Money Matters with Jane Braun.
Other popular courses are: Ceramics taught by Lee Puffer, Body Sculpting taught by Renee Cavanaugh, Feng Shui: Basic & Refresher taught by Kathryn Holt, Ballet taught by Gina Sorensen – Gina is also teaching Everyday Yoga, Spanish I - IV with Lorena Baca. Also, Wedding & Event Planning taught by Joan Whalen, Mat Pilates with Marena Bronson, Line Dance with Diane Rojas, Tennis with Allen Levin, Intro to American Sign Language taught by Claudia Mulcahy, Excel I, Digital Camera – Mastering Action Photography, Mastering Outside Landscape Photography, Mastering Portrait Photography with Will Cattell, Knitting with Damaris Gonzalez, Retirement Planning today taught by Joe Anderson, Living Trusts & Estate Planning taught by Dianne Harmata, Photoshop Elements & Photoshop Elements II with Dan McGeorge.
We also offer Independent Study, and a Men’s 40+ Basketball League, and Senior Aerobics.

For walk-in registration, hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-7:00pm, and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (closed daily from 11:30am-12:30pm) at the Service Center located at Coronado High School, 650 D Avenue.
