First Annual Pet Parade and Chili Cook-Off Update - $20,000 Raised!

Chili Cookoff

As a follow up to our previous post about the 1st Annual Pet Parade and Chili Cook-Off that was held on Monday, October 8, 2012, we want to clarify some of the facts.

Very importantly, PAWS of Coronado wants to thank the Coronado Real Estate Association for their amazing sponsorship of this event. Local realtor Caroline Haines was the driving force behind the event and she and her volunteers did a great job of planning, organizing and working this event.

As previously noted, it was a tremendous success and from all reports everyone in attendance had a wonderful time.

We would also like to thank the City of Coronado for donating Promenade Park for this event.

For the first annual event, the numbers were fantastic:

Approximately 200 people attended the event
A total of 77 pets entered the Pet Parade
6 Chili Cook-Off contestants vied for 1st Place
The event raised approximately $20,000
