Santa Claus comes early to Coronado each year as part of the Coronado Holiday Open House and Parade. This year, on December 2, a number of events will take place, and one in particular is expected to have major appeal to families with young children.

Lee Mather Co., Realtors (LMCo) will host Santa Claus at an open house following the parade at their offices at 944 Orange Avenue. Everyone is welcome to join the staff and family at LMCo and partake.

Free photos will be taken with Santa Claus during the event, and refreshments will be served while waiting to pose with Santa.

Also, leading up to the Holiday Open House and Parade, LMCo will again host Toys for Tots, sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

Mercedes Estrada and Anthony DiVincenzo are the organizers for this year’s Toys for Tots drive at LMCo and will be accepting new, unwrapped toys through December 15. The drop off site is the LMCo office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you can’t drop off your toys in person, Anthony and Mercedes are happy to come and pick them up for you. This is a special cause for DiVincenzo, who has been sponsoring Toys for Tots through his university fraternity as far back as 1991.

“We’re excited to be sponsoring the program this year,” said Estrada. “It’s a wonderful way to be with children in the tradition of giving during the holiday season.”

Lee Mather Co., Realtors is involved in benefits for children throughout the year. They’ve sponsored Harvest Hoedown since its inception, as well as annual Little League teams. Debbie Riddle and her husband Tom personally fund a children’s pumpkin carving party each year at the Coronado Yacht Club. And last year the Make-A-Wish Foundation benefitted heartily from LMC during the Amazing Race.
