Across the bay from downtown San Diego, Coronado has long been considered a destination for a tranquil getaway. A patriotic presence can be felt across the peninsula – the Navy has been there since 1911 and Naval Air Station North Island is the homeport to three aircraft carriers.

ORANGE AVENUE

The mile-long main street is full of boutiques, art galleries, museums, theaters and cafes.
