Across the bay from downtown San Diego, Coronado has long been considered a destination for a tranquil getaway. A patriotic presence can be felt across the peninsula – the Navy has been there since 1911 and Naval Air Station North Island is the homeport to three aircraft carriers.

ORANGE AVENUE
The mile-long main street is full of boutiques, art galleries, museums, theaters and cafes. Attractions include the Museum of History and Art, which explores Coronado's fascinating past and early development, and Lamb's Players Theatre, featuring a professional troupe that performs five shows annually.
