Glorietta Bay Inn Wins Top National Award for Best Guest Relations

Coronado, California, April 16, 2014 – Glorietta Bay Inn is honored to be recognized with the “Best Guest Relations” national award by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).

General Manager, Claudia Ludlow, accepted the plaque at the Stars of the Industry ceremony during the annual Legislative Action Summit held on April 1, 2014 at the J.W. Marriott in Washington DC. The Inn has received the AH&LA award in the Small Property category.

“We have a well-trained motivated team that continues to place the guests first. It’s rare to find employees who have a true passion for serving guests. We are honored to see them achieving national recognition for exceptional level of service attained by the entire staff,” says Ludlow.

Glorietta Bay Inn has won the best guest relations award twelve of the past 15 years, five times nationally and seven times statewide. The Inn has also received two general managers of the year, a lodging employee of the year, a manager of the year and best community service award in years past. The AH&LA Stars of the Industry awards program was created more than 40 years ago to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the lodging industry.

Their guest relations program uses a personalized approach and continuously adds new services to keep the program fresh. The hotel credits their empowered, enthusiastic, and energetic staff as the discerning characteristic that keeps the inn winning the award. The Inn also tributes the marketing efforts of the Coronado Tourism Improvement District and the San Diego Tourism Authority in bringing new guests to the Coronado area.
