After a five-month trial of distributing tee times seven days in advance instead of two, the Coronado Municipal Golf Course is going back to its former system.
Beginning Monday, golfers will be able to make tee-time reservations two days in advance. The in-person lottery will be conducted from 6 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. Phone reservations begin at 9 a.m.
“We’ve tried it since October, and it didn’t seem to work for various reasons,” Coronado head pro Ron Yarbrough said of the seven-day advance system. “It’s hard to break a 50-year tradition.”
