"Unconditional Surrender" The KISS Arrives

Took the 5:40 AM Ferry to the Midway on Monday, and waited for the transport truck carrying the famous "Kiss" sculpture - based on the famous "Unconditional Surrender" photograph to arrive.

All the local TV stations were there - most going live.  The huge truck lumbered in at just after 7 AM.  Scott, from Midway Museum allowed me to also film from the flight deck for a bird's eye view of the Swingin', Kissin' Couple and the "placing and marking" of the sculpture foot anchor bolts.

The community dedication of the famous sailor kissing a nurse sculpture near Midway (next to the Fish Market Restaurant) will take place on Saturday, February 16, at 10 a.m. and everyone is invited!
