I'm not liking the timing of the Ghostbusters movie at all.  If we want to go to the movie then we can't be home for all of the trick or treaters.  They should play the movie later...maybe 9pm?

I'm sorry the timing didn't work out better for you. I actually liked the movie ending around 9PM so there would be time for people to go join their friends in the evening if they had Halloween plans. My apologies Brian.

Thanks for the feedback Mayor.  I can see both sides.  I would have loved to have gone to see the movie, but I like seeing the little ones in their costumes more.  Sadly if there is a good showing of locals at the movie that means around 100 or so dark houses for the kiddos.

I'm definitely bummed that the Ghostbusters is on Halloween. Not only do we have trick or treating, but the Chargers have a game against KC at 5:30pm. I was hoping that it'd be on a Thursday again, or maybe even a Wednesday.

I'm still hoping for late night movies on Friday or Saturday nights like Mad Max, Monty Python, etc...

I wonder if they would consider additional showings? Many of us would love to take our kids to see Ghostbusters in theaters. It would be great to share a piece of our childhood with them! Halloween isn't an option for most families, but I bet they would get a great turn out if they added a couple of showings this weekend!

I want to thank you for this feedback. It was my idea to have Ghostbusters shown on Oct. 31st at 7PM, so I alone must take the blame for that decision. I will see if a Saturday or Sunday showing is possible.

Saturday or Sunday is a great idea. Gets us all ready for Halloween without missing the Trick or Treaters!

Excuse me now I have to go check out the peanut M & M's and 3 Musketeers bars. For some reason the supply at my house seems to be shrinking...

Good News and Bad News:

1. (Good News) I was able to secure a second showing of Ghostbusters on Halloween night at 9:15PM. That will accommodate adults who want to watch the movie after the Trick o' Treaters have done their work.

2. (Bad News) A Saturday/Sunday showing would've needed additional permissions by Sony and that was not doable at this point in time.

 

I hope you all will be able to make either the 7PM or 9:15PM showings of Ghostbusters on Oct. 31st and if not, I will work to correct this mistake in the future.

Thanks for working on this Mayor.  Even though it is a school night I think I will bring my kiddos to see the movie after their trick or treating.  Somethings are just too important to miss.  ;)
