Movie Review: "Django Unchained" at the Village Theater

"Django, the 'D' is silent."

My advice to you is; save dinner for after the movie! Blood, guts, violence.... and more blood!!

I must admit I was NOT excited as I walked into the theater and took my seat. Just knowing a small amount of information about Quentin Tarantino's previous films, I was positive this was not going to thrill me. It did not help that I knew it was nearly three hours long. However, despite the extremely gory scenes, foul language, and constant violence, it was extremely entertaining!

The story line kept me guessing, laughing, and yes closing my eyes many times to avoid the blood, for three hours.

While normally I would say if you don't like the gross violent movies skip this one, I would not say this about Django. There is enough warning when something gross is coming leaving you with plenty of time to look away, but still enjoy the story. Believe it or not, a love story is the center of the movie!

"My favorite part of the movie was Quentin Tarantino's appearance in the movie. While normally I would say three hours is just too long, I did not feel the movie was slow or lagged at all. I was interested the whole time!" - Sean Putnam, fellow movie-goer

Overall, very entertaining, very gross, but very worth seeing!  Get Village Theatre movie times here.

I have heard so many great things about Django.  Glad to know that the you can tell when to close your eyes during violent scenes.  Can't wait to see it!
