CORONADO – Nathan Travassos has joined the team at Lee Mather Co., Realtors, Coronado’s oldest Realtor (since 1953). Travassos, 25, hails from Stockton by way of San Francisco. He will be splitting his time at LMC between property management and sales.

Travassos earned his real estate license at 18 and is a second-generation Realtor. His father was successful in the industry, once listed in the top 10% of California Realtors.

“The fact that my father and I share the same careers has been great. It’s certainly helped us bond over the years in a special way.”

A confessed “restaurant addict,” Travassos spends his spare time exploring new and exciting eateries. “I love to walk into a new restaurant and put my fate in the hands of the chef. If he or she has an item they are particularly proud of, I want to try it.

“I’ve found that you seldom go wrong with that strategy. It all adds to my dining experience, and I love that I can dine outdoors all year long,” said the Realtor. “You can’t do that in San Francisco.”

“Nathan is one of those unique individuals you meet, and ten minutes later, you feel you’ve known your whole life,” said Debbie Riddle, co-owner at LMC. “We’re very happy to have him as part of our team.”

Travassos identifies with his clientele: “They’ve just made a major change in their lives and are jumping in with both feet,” said the young Realtor. “I can relate to that.

“Not unlike my entrusting my dining experience to the head chef at a new restaurant, newcomers to Coronado entrust their futures to a Realtor they can trust.

“Being able to relate on that level has allowed me to help many people make that transition, and I’ve built many new relationships along the way. Perhaps that’s why this industry appeals to me so much, and to my father. It’s all about the people you meet and help along the way.”
