I can't attend Wednesday.  If by chance the Police representative or a City Council member reads this:

Can the City encourage residents to install cameras on their property facing their yards, the sidewalks and streets?  And can the Police, with permission from the owners, then access the footage of these cameras so to piece together the neighborhood at any point in time after a crime has been committed?

It seems very inexpensive these days (Costco sells multiple camera sets for a few hundred dollars).  And it would track thieves on foot and in their cars.

Thanks for writing your good comment.  You raise good points. 

For a very long time now, I have been encouraging residents to install security cameras on their property.  You are correct about security cameras being readily available for installation, although the cost may be prohibitive for some folks.  

I will follow up for an answer to your question.
