A daily podcast service for Coronado now makes emergency dispatcher communications available from the previous night, somewhat similar to a police blotter but transmitted as audio. While one can listen to police scanners, this service drops out "dead air" and condenses eight-hour overnight spans into segments sometimes as short as eight minutes or less.

You can begin downloading the podcast directly through crimefeed.org's website at http://crimefeed.org/escondido/feed/podcast/ (though that doesn't work with some browsers like Safari), through the Apple website at http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/crime-feed-coronado-calif./id556..., or by checking crimefeed.org/coronado for updates as you choose. The podcast will also be searchable through iTunes within two days.

The service is free, and content is available after 4:30 a.m. each day.
