Comment by NadoCays on July 8, 2012 at 12:12pm: Coronado is the place to be for the 4th of July. After the parade, the cleaning crew were at the end of the parade ready to clean up the streets. Our city was accomodating to everybody and provided a lot of bathroom stalls. We also had concert at the park at 1600, fireworks at Glorietta Bay, and many more activities.

One touching moment is when the Pearl Harbor Survivors passed by us.

One comment from a non-resident: "Coronado has the best 4th of July parade ever!".

An aside - Anyone know why the USMC marching band did not lead the parade this year as they always have?

Comment by Charlotte Larkin on July 9, 2012 at 11:16am: WHEN OUR DAUGHTERS WERE LITTLE, EVERY TWO YEARS WE TOOK THEM TO DISNEY WORLD IN FLA .WHEN I COMMENTED TO ONE OF THE DISNEY WORKERS HOW BUG-FREE IT IS. HE SAID THAT WAS BECAUSE EVERY NIGHT. THE PARK WAS SPRAYED.

WHEN I GO HOME AFTER ONE OF MY VISITS TO OUR DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW, JEN AND JOE CUNNINGHAM, I AM OFTEN ASKED TO DESCRIBE CORONADO. MY FIRST COMMENT IS, " EVERYONE IS SO NICE, IT'S AS IF DURING THE NIGHT, ALL OF CORONADO IS "SPRAYED" WITH AN ESSENCE OF KINDNESS ! I SO LOOK FORWARD TO MOVING THERE.THANK YOU. CHARLOTTE LARKIN
