Cats on Parade!

Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm

PAWS of Coronado Cat Stroller Program

PAWS of Coronado is proud to announce the successful launch of its newest venture, the Cat Stroller Program.

Every day you can see volunteers walking cats and kittens in one of our strollers adorned with an “Adopt Me” banner. As if seeing cats in strollers wasn’t enough to catch your attention, our volunteers are sporting the new PAWS of Coronado t-shirts with our modern black lettered logo on a bright sunshine yellow shirt.

Cats ride in style in one of our double decker pet strollers or in the sleek single carriage pet stroller. The cats clamor to be chosen to be walked each day and volunteers say they thoroughly enjoy getting out and meeting people.

Next Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm you can catch our Cat Stroller Parade when volunteers will be walking the cats from the Coronado ACF at 1395 First Street uptown to Spreckles Park where they will meet the folks gathered for that Sunday’s Art in the Park.

The cats of PAWS of Coronado are some of the most social cats available for adoption in the San Diego area due to the TLC they receive from the staff at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, the attention they get from the volunteers participating in the Cat Petting Program and the time the cat adoption counselors take to get to know them and of course because of their stroller outings!

You can meet the cats while they are out strolling or you can stop by the Coronado Animal Care Facility at 1395   First Street in Coronado any day between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to meet the orphaned cats and kittens waiting to find their forever homes.
