We have an urgent need for foster homes for our senior “Baby Boomer” cats.
The Coronado Animal Care Facility has limited space to house the PAWS of Coronado senior cats for adoption. Because of this, several of these cats have been moved from the cat community rooms and are now living in cages. These living conditions are making the cats stressed and depressed – both of which can lead to health issues.
Living in shelters can be difficult for any cat, but it is particularly hard on older cats who have been abandoned or relinquished by their humans or orphaned due to the death of their human companion. They have been separated from the only loving home they have ever had for many years and it is both confusing and depressing for them.
We are pleading with people to come forward and offer these cats a temporary foster home to give them a much needed break from living inthe shelter.
Although the tender loving care of the staff and volunteers helps, a loving home would be a true blessing for these cats who have so much love to offer.
PAWS of Coronado will continue to promote these animals to find them their forever homes. If you have the room in your heart and home to foster one or more of these very special cats, please contact Corinne at pawscoronado@gmail.com
