The 1st Annual Pet Parade and Chili Cookoff was a tremendous success!  With 200 attendees, 77 pets, and 6 chili contestants, PAWS of Coronado raised over $20,000!  A fun time was had by all and we have already booked the site for our 2nd and 3rd annual event!

For PAWS, Sasha & Robbie the cats were huge hits strolling on leashes. The cats took turns being walked in our pet strollers by our stroller volunteers -in between they played in our cat cabanas. Garfield the kitten was adopted at the event.

For the dogs, Boone entered one of the sections of the pet parade while Andy & Zorro played meet & greet with the crowd. 

Thank you to the City of Coronado and the Coronado Real Estate Association for sponsoring the event for PAWS of Coronado, and a big special woof woof and meow meow to all our volunteers who helped make our event a wonderful success for our pets in need at PAWS of Coronado!

Oh, and who could forget the Chili!!!  The competition was tough and spicy!  Congrats to our 1st place winner Dog Gone Good Chili, It's a Cat's Meow!, 2nd place winner Ascent Real Estate, and 3rd place winner Lee Mather Co. Realty.
