Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's locked Jeep Wrangler, removed the plastic cover from the bottom of the steering wheel in an attempt to access the wires. The suspects were unable to steal the vehicle and left the scene with the plastic steering column cover.

Unknown suspect entered a wrecked vehicle at El Cordova Garage through an unlocked passenger door.

Robbery
Four unknown black males and one unknown black female approached the victims in the 600 block of Orange Avenue. One of the black males removed a silver revolver from his waistband, pointed it at the victim, and ordered him to empty his pockets. The victim complied. $2500 estimated loss, including iPhones, cash, watch, and wallet.

I'd be curious to know the time of day that the armed robbery took place. It's more than just a little disturbing that someone was robbed at gun-point here, let alone a block away from the police station. That's pretty brazen. I hope they catch these folks.......and soon.

I agree! More details on that story would be nice. Were they in the park? By the library? That item was very disconcerting!

eCoronado.com checked with the police department for more information on the story.  The robbery took place between 1:55 a.m. and 2:05 a.m., and there had been no additional similar robberies reported.

Thanks for following up on this! I can't believe someone would do that pretty much in sight of the police station. That is just crazy!
