Hi eCoronado.com,
I don't know if you ever post anything like this on your site, but my friend is assistant manager at the new store , Pretty Please at 961 Orange, and she came by my store today to warn me of 2 girls who had shoplifted between $200-300 in clothing. One was carrying a blue backpack that had the words Coronado Library printed on it . Both had blonde hair and were approx 5' 5". One was wearing a purple striped shirt. I told her to make a police report, so hopefully she did. It happened mid afternoon today and she was pretty upset about it but was short handed and couldn't go after them. I didn't know if you could put out a warning to other shop owners, but they will probably try it again and I doubt there are many girls with that backpack. Thanks!

Unfortunately here at Blue Jeans and Bikinis we were hit by the 2 young girls as well. They first came in on Friday and I believe stole about 4-5 bikinis...the loss is about $400-$500. They stopped by yesterday again but this time I kept a very close eye on the two of them until they finally left. Once the girl from Pretty Please came by to discuss what happened we both decided to call the police and submit a description. The description is a little off in the letter submitted. One girl was about 5'5", the other was about 5'10" with very long blonde hair and sport build. The shorter girl wore a large eye catching tie dye bag and hair was pulled up. We do believe they are local girls which saddens me.
Blue Jeans, did you file a police report regarding this theft?
Good news! They've just been caught! Thank you to the Coronado Police and the quick action of the girls at Pretty Please! And yes we filed a report.
It's terrible that this sort of thing happens, but great that the coordination between shop owners/employees and the local police dept. have put a stop to at least these two thieves!

Congratulations to everyone! Sharp eyes and quick action can help put a stop this this kind of thing in our stores. Thanks eCoronado for providing this kind of community interaction!

I really hope they learn from this! Yikes!
Comment by Pamela McCollum on July 23, 2012 at 11:04am Sorry to hear this even happened here. Glad to hear they've been caught. Shame on both of them, and kudos to those that finally stopped them!
Comment by Kathy Williams Campbell on July 23, 2012 at 11:45am I hope these girls are arrested and not just "warned".
I agree with Pamela....shame on those girls! I hope they were dealt with appropriately by the police!
