Stolen flags and bunting from homes around Coronado

Like many or most of you, my family and I really look forward to the fourth of July celebration every year. To show our pride in our neighborhood and country, we string the bunting along the fence, plan for and set up the canopies so that we can enjoy all of our friend's company during the parade and basically bask in the glow of the glory of our nation and community here in Coronado.  Imagine our disappointment yesterday when we noticed that several of our bunting had been stolen. Not only that, but our next door neighbor's (WWll D-Day veteran) and those of our neighbor's up the street had been stolen as well.  I'm taking a guess that other homes suffered the same. To the individual/s who had the un-American and selfish impulse to do this, shame on you.

It disgusts me that people would dishonor the patriotism of others by stealing their flags and bunting. I am sorry that you and other residents have had to endure these thoughtless thefts.

This happened to me last year. Two days after I put up brand new bunting bought at Coronado Hardware I went outside to find it had all been stolen. I don't understand how anyone can think stealing is okay, especially stealing someone's show of patriotism. I am sorry for your loss and continue to hope that whomever is doing this has a change of heart and returns what they have taken.

We had six flags out front...we are down to two.  The only thing I keep telling myself is the same thing said when someone broke into our car and stole Bibles...maybe they needed them more than we did?  Here's hoping...

Sorry about your sentimental flag, Laurie :-(

I am sorry to hear that others, too, have been subjected to these cruel acts. I was so surprised to find that a decoration was stolen from the gate in front of our house. I just couldn't imagine who would steal Independence Day decorations. However, it seems that we were actually quite fortunate that the majority of the decorations were left untouched.
