Survey Invite: Should CUSD Open a Tuition-Based Preschool for 2013-2014?

The Coronado Unified School District is considering opening a tuition-based preschool for the 2013-2014 school year. Named as Crown Preschool, its primary focus will be to prepare children for kindergarten through curriculum which will integrate with existing CUSD curricula and establish the basic building blocks for a successful education for 21st century learners. CUSD is committed to developing the whole student, evidenced by the belief that the proposed preschool will nourish the development of its students academically, socially, physically, and emotionally. Crown Preschool will be set up as a not-for-profit entity as a complement to CUSD. The program will be fully funded through family tuition.

In order to learn more about the community’s needs for a quality early childhood education program connected to a public school setting, the District is asking for input.

Please access the Crown Preschool Survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/G5RTCVR and offer your thoughts and comments before June 20, 2012.

With strong community support for Crown Preschool, CUSD will be able to offer families the option of a premier preschool program set in its own neighborhood.
