In Spring 2011, the US Navy issued its comprehensive Climate Change Task Force Report and identified, among other things, the imminent threat to coastal installations from the impacts of climate change. Instead of allowing the vacuum of national political leadership to affect its study, the high level Task Force concluded: “Naval forces need to monitor more closely and start preparing now for projected challenges climate change will present in the future.”
Indeed, the Navy established an impressive website to keep us all informed of such climate change developments.

In keeping with such environmental stewardship, the US Navy is again demonstrating leadership in these challenging times as 400 senior military leaders wrote Congress to renew funding for the "critical" green fleet program.

We should all be very proud of such inspired leadership in this time of such an abysmal lack of national leadership in such vital areas to our future lives.
