Turns out the Mercy broke down before ever leaving her berth.  Word is 48 hours.  They should have done a shakedown cruise before the deployment date, but no.  My wife will be flying out to Guam to deploy on the Mercy in a few weeks so hopefully there won't be any other serious mechanical issues.
