The Boathouse by far! Best halibut I've ever had.

Dessert-wise, I have to say Nado-Gelato is one of my favorites. It's the only place to go for authentic italian ice cream, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly.

One of the most difficult things about going out for dessert is that there's almost always someone who "just wants some coffee." Nado Gelato also serves coffee, which is roasted right here in Coronado as well. (Blue Bridge Coffee) They really know their way around the espresso machine, so you can enjoy an incredible latte with or without your cup of gelato.

Great job on the website, Cousin Steve. Love the direction it is headed in. Coronado deserves something special!

Thanks for the welcome -- great looking publication! Sally and I are walking across the USA again in 2010 to promote healthy living and eCoronado will make it possible for us to stay connected to "home" while on the road. This is a wonderful addition to the community.

We'd be happy to keep eCoronado posted with blog entries ... and photos and movies if you'd like. Just let us know what works well for you. Plenty of time to figure out details -- we begin on 3/23/10 (National Diabetes Awareness Day) and end in Boston on 11/12/10 (World Diabetes Day).

Hey Steve! It is summer and its time to have some fun, let's go tubing!

Hi. That is the date of Artisans Alley, a craft show that benefits the Coronado Band & Choir Boosters. I was just experimenting with getting this on your site, and didn't have a particular image to go with the link.

Thanks ~ My mother and father graduated from Coronado in the 40s. While dad passed away 8 years ago and is buried in Arlington, we are bringing mother out for a visit at the end of June. She hasn't been to Coronado since the 60s.

Oh, well, we officially hit the 100s yesterday! Oh my gosh it was HOT! I mean, I've been here for 11 or 12 years? It just seems like winter is too cold and summer is too hot. I used to LOVE our weather. :(

So, I'm certainly giving it some thought ... especially when he tells me about sitting for over an hour, watching dogs play at the dog beach -- while my two little ones are stuck inside most of the summer because it's too hot! :)

Thanks for letting me join -- I've sent him the the Web site. We've also changed our plans for the July 4th to be in Coronado instead of Washington DC or Scottsdale. ;-)

As a newcomer to Coronado - wanted to know - is there a "best place to sit" for the 4th of July Parade?
Is the Parade long? I was thinking of sitting near Spreckel's Park -
as I think they have public restroom facilities there? Any advice? Thanks!!
