New Video Showcasing Former Coronado Resident from 1930s

Louise Galpin is a senior citizen who lived in Coronado before the bridge was even built. During a visit to see her family in town, she was kind enough to reminisce her life in Coronado during the 1930's and1940's with us for a quick interview. It is fun to contrast the differences between Coronado then and now through the stories Louise shares.

Louise, You are a beautiful lady! You added so much pleasure to our lives when you stayed with Lily and Susan (your gorgeous dauther) at our guesthouse this summer. Tony and I couldn't believe that you kept your Floral Association certificate for winning in the bottle arrangement. And, what is more incredible is the fact it was signed by Armand Jessop, and the certificate is the same exact design we still use today for the Home Front Juding! Your daughters sent me pictures of us in my garden and I would love to post here if I can. At any rate, I enjoyed seeing and hearing your video - what an asset to our treasured history! Looking forward to a long lasting relationship with you and your daughters! Nancy and Tony Santos
